What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga evolved from ancient medicinal origins and is widely practiced around the world today. It is designed to balance out the stress in your life, whether physical or emotional. Each pose in a yin sequence is help for an extended period of time, allowing your muscles to relax and your mind to wind down.


Why Should I Try Yin Yoga?
Whether you’ve got sore muscles and tight joints or your body and brain are always at work, you need balance in your life. When you join from the comfort of your own home, you can practice any way you’d like without worrying what others might think. And, the final, most important reason to join? You deserve it.
Balance is not something you find. It is something you create.

Do I Need Equipment?
While bolsters, blocks, and bands are nice, they’re not necessary! Thick blankets, pillows, or even a rolled up sweatshirt will do the trick! If you’re new to the practice or feeling tighter than usual, you may want to bring a few different props to choose from for pose modifications. It’s better to have too many props than not enough!
Who Can Participate?
Everyone! Regardless of your fitness level, age, flexibility, or ability, there is always a space for you. Yin is designed to tend to your needs, whatever they may be. If you do have any concerns, let Christiana know ahead of time and she will help you proactively brainstorm some solutions. See you Saturday!
